The Awards Banquet tomorrow closes out the 2022 season and kicks off to 2023 Race Season! (https://pnwma.com/calendar/) Note: the WOC dates are tentative.
The PNWMA Annual General Meeting was held in November for elections and rules review for 2023.
The current directors have agreed to stand in their current positions with Brian Dick stepping in the Rules Director role. Everyone is invited if you’d like to be involved. Thank you to all our directors for their continued commitment to the PNWMA.
There a few rules changes this year and updated rules will be posted in the coming week. Most notably…
  • Change in the class start order. Senior Expert will re-number to the 4000 class and start ahead of the Intermediates, renumbered to the 5000 class.
  • Women Expert class minimum racing has increased to 2.5hrs, equal to the Masters and Experts. Starting row remains the same as previous years.
  • Throwaways have been clearly defined as follows: There is one throwaway per season, provided the racer has entered a minimum of 5 races. Note a racer must race at least 4 races to receive a trophy.
  • The Work Points have been redefined as follows: Work points will be calculated as an average of the total season’s races. C&D classes are not eligible for work points.

2023 License Fees have increased and the structure of a family license has changed:
· $50 for a single annual A/B race license
· $25 for a single annual C/D race license
· $25 for a weekend A/B race license
· $15 for a weekend C/D race license
Family Annual Rate: $60 for two adult member annual race license and $10 for additional member annual race license. Minimum rate of $60. For example a Family Annual License for a family of four would be $80. To qualify for a family rate, members must live in the same household and children must be under 18.
· Family Weekend Rate: $30 for two adult member weekend race license and $5 for each member weekend race license. Minimum rate of $30. For example a Family Weekend License for a family of four would be $40.
