At the August PNWMA directors’ meeting, we discussed a proposal for reducing the cut-off time for the A riders. The idea is to reduce the chances of a race lasting 4+ hours for A riders. The feedback from several racers has been that 4 hours is too long. Also, a race that long is much harder on all the volunteers.
The directors unanimously agreed that we should try reducing the cut-off time for A riders by 30 minutes. The plan is to try this out to see if it is well received, and re-evaluate after we see how it goes for a season.
So, going forward, the A rider cut-off will be a 2.5 hour cut-off, instead of the old 3 hour cut-off. This is the only rule change. We hope you like it!
