GKMA Request for Coverage: GKMA has requested coverage for dual sporting event – more details and discussion needed.

Update: Further discussion required regarding waivers, insurance coverages, and other costs. PNWMA insurance covers speed related events only at this time.

Update: Discussion on general liability coverages for GKMA. Understanding achieved. PNWMA may provide assistance with contacts, waivers, and set up advice for event.

Northern BC Event Coverage: Request for northern events coverage – more details and discussion needed.

PNWMA Website and Social Media: Reviewing improvements to and effectiveness of website traffic, linking and social media use. Awards Hall of Fame (photos and recognition of season winners for each year) to potentially be developed. Potentially look at club specific pages for clubs/members.

Update: Leaving open to encourage improvements and recruitment for additional volunteers/association members.

In Person PN Meetings: Discussed potential for in person meetings. Concerns with quorum and voting – hybrid approach not practical. Periodic social meetings discussed, as well as a guide for use of Zoom.

Update: Confirmed meetings to be held remotely to accommodate meeting quorum and voting members. Social meetings may be considered/set-up for in person.

Master Rule Changes: Rules to be reviewed, once approved to be sent for posting to website.

Updated: Rules reviewed and comments provided:

• 2.6, Pre-riding, discussed – rule to be removed

• 2.12 and 7.2, Spark Arrestors, discussed – reiteration of bylaw requirement to be included on all event posters

• 5.6, Clubs to sign affidavit, discussed – confirmed to be required annually

• To be added: clarity and recommendation on time between each class race start

Update: Final updates being completed and will be posted before next meeting. Communication to clubs agreed to be by email, as well as an update post to social media.

Leather Race Tags: Previous provider will continue to contribute these for the season. An estimate of tags will be needed.

Update: Tags received, additional tags will be discussed between Scorekeeper and provider.

Stacyc Class: Discussion had related to very young riders and a stacyc scooter class. Potential sponsors for medallions/awards ect. may be available. Further discussion implied that the class or race would be unofficial, for fun only, and for very young riders not ready to ride in the PeeWee Classes. Race could occur as a pre-race on small simple course. Further discussion and confirmations needed.

Updated: Further discussion had, pilot to occur at Cat Scratch race. Further discussion to be had.

Update: Pilot well received however due to weather conditions and length of race, the race was shortened by ten minutes. Learnings and questions:

• A race for very young/inexperienced individuals may require exceptions, such as adjustment to course and time.

• PeeWee is to be a “D” course only, new courses are not required of clubs. However, clubs may make adjustments if needed. Ex.: “Little” D’s race separate from “Big” D’s.

• International Motorsports has a Stacyc friendly race course to be set-up and be piloted at a future race. This would be a bonus race only.

Schedule Conflict: EnduroX in Chilliwack confirmed to occur same weekend as Treehugger race. Inquiring about a change of date for Treehugger race. October 6^th a possible option. Decision is with club.

Update: Confirmed club has rescheduled race for October 5-6^th.
